Whether you are driving around town, walking round the shops or stuck in a traffic jam, you are constantly surrounded by vehicles, both moving and static. So, if you are a business with a fleet of vans or just a single vehicle, you should be considering branded vehicles as an essential part to marketing your business.
Here are 5 reasons why:
1/ Make an impression on a huge range of audience.
Statistics say that truckside advertising can produce 40,000 to 60,000 impressions a day. That’s a lot of people, from adult drivers, and child passengers to teenagers walking by. This will boost your brand awareness hugely, as your logo will become more recognisable, whether or not the customer was specifically looking for your services at the time.
2/ Your investment lasts a LONG time
Consider how much money a newspaper advert can cost. This gives you visibility for about a week. Vehicle wrapping means that your advertising is being constantly utilised all day, every day. Vehicle adverts can last years and years.
Most advertising is stuck to a certain place. A newspaper or a website for instance. However, vehicles are obviously mobile so they can be placed wherever you consider that multiple prospective customers may be passing by. Your branding isn’t confined to a single location - your message can be spread to wherever you end up driving.
4/ Make your own restrictions
When it comes to marketing there are so many restrictions to adhere to. From television advert timings and magazine advert sizes, to billboard placement. Vehicle branding can break free from that, as long as you are still considering the rules of the road. Even better, the morning commute is essentially the prime time to be advertising on the road, for those driving in the early morning are most likely middle-aged commuters with a steady income (Source: Arbitron National In-Car Study: 2009 Edition).
5. You never know… Your branding might go viral on social media like these two trucks!

Thames Valley Signs sponsored the 3 Moores Motors cars to race at Silverstone at the end of October and then a further 10 races around the country over the next 12 months. In preparation, the Thames Valley Signs team redesigned and wrapped the vehicles to ensure they looked awesomely unmissable on the tracks! The flawless, vibrant graphics, superb branding and slick contour design looked fantastic, finalising in 3 transformations that the whole team were very proud of.
Nobody wants to be that business that blends into the background, the business that hears way too often, ‘Oh! I didn’t even know you were based here’. Your business front should be a town landmark point, your branding clear, bold, eye-catching and memorable. Contra Vision window graphics are the prime way to ensure every inch of your premises embodies your branding and makes a huge impact.
So what are the benefits of Contra Vision graphics?
1/ Transparency. Contra Vision products transform glass with one-way vision graphics, meaning that they can’t be seen from the other side. Your business interior will look as bright as usual and vision to the outside world is clear and unimpaired.
2/ Privacy. Sometimes parts of your business don’t need to be displayed to the public, such as meetings with new clients or customers. Conceal some of your interior with window graphics - practical and aesthetic. Shielding your interior also creates curiosity within the customer to see what’s inside.
Now is the time you really need your business to be shining out above your competitors, catching the eye and drawing attention to the amazing services or products you offer. The few months coming up to Christmas are a huge opportunity to boost business and build awareness of your brand, so you need to ensure your premises look professional and interesting. Acrylic signage is the perfect solution, the popular plastic material having all the right properties to create durable signage with a big impact. Here are a couple of benefits of the use of acrylic in signage:
Strength & Durability
Acrylic is stronger and more durable than glass, making it a safer option for signage. With the strength to be used inside or outdoors, it is 17 times more strong than glass so will withstand the impact of storms and accidents. It’s long-lasting durability means you know acrylic signage is a good investment.
In 2016 Thames Valley Signs went through some massive management changes and since then has seen huge progress in multiple business areas. In March 2016 Thames Valley Signs became an independent company, separating from a larger parent company to begin an adventure of its own and only a couple of months later in August 2016, Robert Pennington became owner of Thames Valley Signs.
As soon as Rob Pennington joined the Thames Valley Signs team momentum started building to increase and improve the way the company presented and marketed itself.
“I wanted Thames Valley Signs to take the bull by the horns when it came to marketing the amazing things we do - promoting our services is so essential and we just weren’t doing enough of it!”
The first element of the business to start on was improving the company website. Rob got in touch with a local digital marketing agency Digity to discuss how to truly represent and advertise the innovation, creativity and quality of the projects Thames Valley Signs work so hard on.
After many meetings and a lot of work, the brand new website was born in November 2016. Integrating stunning imagery, an eye-catching design and an intuitive interface, it is the perfect ‘digital shop window’ to market the services we offer.
The office has been an exciting place recently, due to our new and very successful sales assistant...Sign Dog! Attracting all our best clients, he’s been running around the office networking and making lots of new friends.
Are you ready to take centre stage at your next business event? With the amount of freebies, business cards and enthusiastic promoters going around, it can feel very difficult to make a lasting impression. We can ensure that your stand will make a real impact with the right customers.
Here are a couple of tips to get you started:
1/ How much space do you have? You can’t start planning until you know the size of your space, not only the floor space but the height of the interior. Tall stands can have a huge impact, drawing attention from shorter stands, giving your stand precedence. Size does matter, but if your budget won’t allow for a large space at the exhibition , don’t worry. Our designers are fantastic at creating impressive, eye-catching graphics of all sizes to give your stand the impact it needs.
2/ Keep it simple. When you are passionate about your business it can be tempting to list all of the amazing things you can offer all over your display. Don’t! Let your leaflets and print content explain the details and leave your display to grab attention, focussing on your key features.
In March 2016 Thames Valley Signs became an independent company, separating from a larger parent company to begin an adventure of its own! Since then we have seen huge progress, completing large-scale, quality signage projects with innovation and creativity within competitive production times.
One of the most significant changes within the company was Rob Pennington becoming owner of Thames Valley Signs in August. Challenging the company to excel within the design, signage and print industries, Rob emphasised the enjoyment he finds within a company with such progress and originality.
At the beginning of 2017, we were excited to invest in the HP Latex 315 Printer, a hugely versatile, sustainable and high-quality piece of sign and display technology. Since its arrival, the HP Latex has enabled us to beat customer expectations, producing high standard, impactful and damage-resistant signage in a fraction of the previous production time.
The HP Latex Inks are water-based, eliminating exposure to inks with hazard warning labels and high solvent concentrations. HP Latex Inks enable more differentiation - odourless prints go where solvents can’t, such as in the healthcare sector. Whilst HP Inks are water based, they are scratch resistant and have outdoor durability of up to 5 years laminated, 3 years unlaminated.
